It's Fall...right?

It may not *feel* like Fall but the calendar says it is so we’re going with that. In fact, I’m manifesting Fall (I was told that's on trend right now). I’m visualizing myself wearing my shacket, sipping a London Fog, walking the streets of Old Town Clovis as the autumn leaves crunch at my feet. It’s happening…I believe it….it shall come to pass…
In the meantime, I’m enjoying the weird, oddly warm, faux Fall by hosting parties and eating all the candy I bought to pass out to trick or treaters. I like hosting but I like to keep it simple. It doesn’t take much time or money, it’s really just a combo of 3 things:
Good food: comfort food, keep a variety and an ample amount.
Fun: easy-to-play games that fit the crowd, icebreakers, mood music.
Unexpected details: an out-of-the-ordinary theme (could be 'comfy clothes only' or 'one night inside a terrarium'), sneaky surprises for guests when they arrive/leave, hidden notes or decor that take a good eye to notice.
Here's a good example: Last weekend at a last-minute get together, I plopped a dollop or two of sour cream on my everyday enchilada casserole, added a few sliced olives and wa-lah! spooky eyeballs! Good food with a little bit of unexpected fun.
Speaking of simple and fun parties, we’ve released a new product just in time for your Halloween gatherings. It’s the ‘MAD LAB Party Starter Pack’!
Each pack includes a theme, easy-to-follow guidelines to help you prep and add those unexpected details and custom-designed, high-quality party supplies that take your party up a notch. Hosting has never been so easy! And here’s the best news, the Party Starter Packs are stocked and ready for pickup at our pop-up at Postal Annex. Grab one today and host a wild night of fun THIS weekend! Easy peasy!
There’s plenty of other goodies at the pop-up to take a look at. I’ve really enjoyed hearing the stories of shoppers buying our silly Halloween bookmarks to add to their grandkid’s packages, grabbing our holiday cards to mail to their far-away friends and adding a little ‘chill’ to their neighborhood with original yard art.
Thanks again to everyone who has shopped the studio online or IRL. It makes me happy knowing there’s a few of these little guys sitting in someone’s office or hiding in the kitchen cabinets.
Happy Fall manifesting everybody!
