It's Fall, then it's not, then it is

It's Fall, then it's not, then it is

Was that a cool autumn breeze I just felt?

It was! The first of Fall is here!

Am I ignoring the weather reports that say we will be back to 90 degrees next week? Absolutely.

I can't help it.  Fall is my favorite.  I love everything about it, from the spookiness of Halloween to the coziness of Thanksgiving.  Last year I took Fall fun to the next level by planning a party for every weekend in October and making my own calendar to track it.  You can catch a glimpse of it in the blog post ‘October 2023 arrives late’.

Fall fun mode is still set to MAX for 2024, just a few less parties to host.  It kicked off last weekend when I was asked to bring old-fashioned Halloween fun to my favorite Postal Annex. So out came the handmade tassels, giant hand-drawn trick or treaters and all the inspiration I could muster up to remind everyone of the FUN in Halloween. Check out the video at the end for a quick peek.

This year’s TRICK or TREAT! art is meant to take you back to a time of creative play, community and enjoying the good in Halloween.  Just thinking back to when I would dress up, roam the neighborhood full of spooky decorations and munch on all my collected treats takes me to a happy place.

To spread the happy to you, I’ve added new goodies to the shop and brought back a few classics.  New to the studio is the TRICK OR TREAT! Collection with poster prints, one-of-a-kind cards, mugs, coloring books with original art and cotton canvas totes for trick or treating or just shopping around town.

Other newbies in the shop include the ‘Strange and Unusual’ tote for all my Lydia Deetz/Beetlejuice fans out there, ‘get tricky’ buttons and stickers for sticking on journals, cards, walls (not mine, just yours). The classic jokester bookmarks are back along with the ghosties but they're selling fast so catch ‘em if you can.

I’m hoping all this Fall fun talk inspires you to host that party, bake those treats and send some old-fashioned Halloween fun to family and friends this year. Be sure to visit the online shop and if you’re in town, pop by the pop-up shop and see all the new!
